Josh Lyman - Formerly Deputy Chief Of Staff, now Matt Santos's Campaign Manager.

Josh is from Westport, Connecticut.
He's Jewish.
His mother lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
His father, Noah, was a litigator and partner in the law firm Debavoise & Plimpton. He died of a pulmonary embolism on the day of the Illinois Primary in 1998, while receiving chemo therapy.
His older sister, Joanie, died in a house fire when he was a child, she was babysitting him. Joanie loved music and wanted to be a conductor, she played Schubert's Ave Maria over and over in her room.
His grandfather was a survivor of the Birkenau concentration camp.
Former girlfriends include, Mandy Hampton and Amy Gardiner. He also had a crush on Joey Lucas.
His father was an old friend of Leo's.
Josh lives in Georgetown.
On 7th August 2000 he was shot in the chest at Rosslyn, he suffered a collapsed lung and a ruptured pulmonary artery. He underwent 14 hours of surgery and was off work for 3 months. Consequently, he suffers from some stiffness in his right arm and leg and some back pain.
At Christmas 2000, Josh was diagnosed as suffering from post traumatic stress disorder which is triggered by music.

He scored 760 on his verbal SAT.
Josh is graduate of Harvard and Yale and a Fulbright Scholar. He graduated cum laude from Harvard.
Josh has worked as:
- Legislative director in the house for two years.
- Floor director in the senate for two years.
- Floor manager to the House Minority Whip.
- Chief of Staff to Congressman Earl Brennan.
- Just prior to joined the Bartlet For America campaign, he worked on Senator John Hoynes campaign.
He joined the Bartlet campaign 13 weeks before the New Hampshire primary.
In December 2004 Josh resigned his White House job after persuading Texas Congressman Matthew Santos to run for the Democratic nomination.

Although a graduate of Harvard& Yale, he claims his IQ doesn't break the bank and he wasn't the smartest kid in the class.
While at Harvard he was a Crimson, working on the college newspaper.
According to Leo, Josh is a compulsive fixer.
He has a hoard of adoring fans, who Donna refers to 'the Lyman hoes'. He even has a fan website dedicated to him - lemonlyman.com.
He once carved a bong out of a potato.
Josh's friends include actor Billy Molina and FBI agent Mike Casper.
He has a delicate system and really can't hold his drink.
He supports the New York Mets.
He doesn't celebrate his birthday, supposedly because of a bad experience with a clown at his 7th birthday party.
His mother sends him gifts, including shoes and items to keep in a box in the trunk of his car for use in an emergency.
