Donna Moss

Donnatella Moss - Formerly Senior Assistant to Deputy CoS, now working on the Russell campaign.
Personal
- Donna was born in Warroad, Minnesota but grew up in Madison, Wisconsin.
- Her mother is Italian and her father Irish.
- She's a Protestant.
- Her family are Republicans.
- In May 2004 she was in a bomb attack in Gaza, resulting in a broken leg and a pulmonary embolism.
- She shares an apartment with her roommate and her roommate's cats.
- Known boyfriends include, 'Dr Freeride', Cliff Caley (a Republican lawyer working for Ways And Means) and Lt. Commander Jack Reece (a navy officer & Nancy McNally's aide, also a Republican).
Professional & Education
- Attended the University of Wisconsin, where she majored in political science & government, sociology, psychology and biology and minored in French and drama.
- She dropped out of college after two years to get a job to put her medical student boyfriend through college.
- She started working for Josh in February 1998 but left to go back to her boyfriend. She rejoined the campaign in April 1998 after her boyfriend went out drinking with his friends instead of collecting her from the hospital when she crashed her car.
- In December 2004, Donna resigned her job working for Josh and joined the Russell presidential campaign.
Misc
- She imposed 'the rules' on Josh's visitors during his recovery.
- She wanted skis for Christmas 1999, but Josh bought her an antique book, Heimlich Beckengruber's The Art and Artistry of Alpine Skiing, instead. The inscription he wrote moved her to tears (although we never discovered what it said).
- Donna keeps a 'what a shame' folder full of good ideas that the administration hasn't had the time or money to carry through.
- Strangely, and unlike the other assistants, Donna gets invited to senior staff events and rides in the motorcade.
- She keeps a diary, though she lied about this to the committee investigating the MS disclosure.
- Her parents have two cats called Shadrach and Meschach.
- She played the flute in school.
- She once got her arm stuck while trying to retrieve a letter from a mailbox.
